The Alps unfold before you like a landscape only partially domesticated by time. From this vantage point high above the valleys, the mountains reveal their true character—a raw, sculpted drama played out across stone and sky, utterly indifferent to the small measure of human presence scattered below.
The foreground softens the view: meadows roll gently, dotted with isolated trees that stand like sentinels keeping watch over the grassland. These are the inhabited slopes, the places where shepherds move their flocks and farmers have coaxed fertility from Alpine soil. Yet even here, nature dominates. The trees seem small against the immensity that surrounds them, each one a quiet gesture of resilience in a landscape of overwhelming scale.
